Travel Grants
Calling postgraduate students and early-mid career researchers interested in showcasing your Australian food allergy research to the world!
Funding is available to help support your presentations at in-person, virtual and hybrid domestic and international conferences.
The next round of Travel Grants will open in early 2025.
Available Travel Grants
Domestic travel (up to $1500)
- Return economy airfares (Red-E deal or equivalent)
- 1 night accommodation / meals / transport (ATO Reasonable Travel Allowance Scale)
- Conference registration
International travel (up to $4000)
- Return economy airfares (Red-E deal or equivalent)
- Up to 3 nights’ accommodation / meals / transport (ATO Reasonable Travel Allowance Scale)
- Conference registration
How to apply
Please complete the application form and submit it with the following supporting documents to cfar.cre@mcri.edu.au:
- A copy of your accepted abstract (or abstract to be submitted). Evidence of abstract acceptance will be required before the grant is confirmed
- A summary CV (maximum 2 pages)
- A budget summary (e.g. conference attendance, airfares, accommodation costs).
To be eligible you must be:
- Enrolled in or employed by an Australian University as a PhD or Masters’ student (100 per cent research) or level A-C academic within 15 years of your PhD being awarded
- Managed or supervised by at least one CFAR3 Chief or Associate Investigator
- An Australian citizen or an Australian permanent resident. International students / researchers based in Australia are also eligible
- Presenting an oral or poster presentation at a conference that aligns with the CFAR3 vision and mission
- A current CFAR member
When to apply
- Round 1 applications have closed
- Round 2 applications closed 14 October
